Spring seems to have officially sprung here in Chicago. This morning I woke up to an impressive downpour complete with a spectacular lightning display. What I love best about rainstorms is the splash of color that follows once the sun returns.
To go along with the bright greens and blooming tulips outside, today I’m featuring these bright and cheery Color Theory Pencil Earrings from the shop of AdeloCreations. I love the combination of colors and blending of geometric shapes. Her shop is full of really creative and lovely jewelry, many inspired by nature. Be sure to go visit!
And up next is this fantastical Flying Pig Pincushion from LifePieces. I love piggies and this one is beautiful and full of delightful whimsy! There are other styles of pincushions available, all of them equally cute. Go check them out here!
Whew! It’s been a little nutty over on this end the last few weeks. I had some family emergencies to attend (a funeral and a surgery), plus some technical difficulties last week. But I’ve survived and we are back on schedule with our Friday Feature for this week!
First up is this awesome and terribly adorable print, Hold On Mr. Squirrel, from the shop of maggieshurley. I’m always drawn to artwork that incorporates umbrellas; there’s just something magical about overcast/rainy days. Plus, I love the use of watercolors here, the swirling clouds in the background and the fantastic shading of the fur.. it’s such a great painting! Be sure to go and check out the other wonderful works of art in this shop!
And, next, is this beautiful Book Organizer from the shop: Et’s Place. I don’t think a person can have too many books, but being organized (and able to find the one you’re looking for) is paramount! Here is a perfect solution. I love that it’s vintage – imagine the stories it could tell! And the shabby chic, distressed white color is a fantastic look. There are so many great items in this shop, be sure to go over and see!
